LHV to lower transaction fees for investing on foreign stock exchanges

18. February 2021

LHV Pank lowered transaction fees for foreign shares and made pricing easier than before. As of today, a new price list applies to LHV clients, according to which the purchase and sale of foreign shares at the market price costs 0.14% of the transaction amount, with a minimum of 9 euros per transaction.

The fall in prices makes investing more favourable, especially for investors with smaller amounts who want to purchase the best companies and index funds from foreign stock exchanges. ‘As the market leader in investment services, it is important for LHV to provide clients with the best complete investment solution on the market. Attractive price list, free investment seminars, and a wide range of investment products make LHV the best choice for a local investor,’ Chairman of the Management Board at LHV Pank Kadri Kiisel said.

‘Over the past year, global shares have become a very popular and successful among Estonian investors. The large increase in activity allows LHV to contribute to the success of its clients through a simpler price list and even lower transaction fees. From now on, it is possible to invest globally starting from a transaction fee of 9 euros, and up to 50,000 euros worth of foreign securities can also be kept at LHV free of charge,’ Kiisel added.

The more favourable transaction fee applies to both private clients and companies. In addition, individuals can keep foreign securities worth up to 50,000 euros in their LHV securities account without an administration fee. For legal persons, only a monthly fee of 0.01% is applied to the value of foreign securities, and the same rate applies to the part of the private securities portfolio that exceeds 50,000 euros. Depositing and trading of Baltic securities is free of charge for LHV clients.

At the beginning of the year, fees also decreased in LHV Trader and LHV Growth Account – a detailed price list is available on the website of LHV.
