LHV Pank, Luminor Bank, Danske Bank and Worldline signed an agreement, according to which LHV will become Luminor’s new partner in the common ATM network, replacing the previous partner, Danske Bank. The common network will be served by LHV.
For LHV’s clients, the ATM network will grow by a factor of five, to 125 ATMs, from the current 25. LHV will inform its clients separately as soon as the added ATMs are available for use free of charge.
‘LHV Pank continues its rapid expansion. Our client numbers continue to grow across Estonia, and with this further step forward we are now able to guarantee even better availability of the cash service to our clients. We want our clients to be able to bank conveniently throughout Estonia,’ commented Erki Kilu, Chairman of the Management Board of LHV Pank. ‘I am very pleased about our partnership with Luminor. Our integration into the common ATM network can be considered a landmark achievement, with which we have moved one step closer to a common ATM network in Estonia.’
Cooperation with Luminor will facilitate access by LHV’s clients to its cash withdrawal service, as the possibility to withdraw cash without a charge will become available at least in Võru, Rapla, Haapsalu, Paide, Kohtla-Järve, Kiviõli, Jõhvi, Saku, Saue and Tabasalu. Previously, the expansion of the ATM network brought new private clients as well as business clients to LHV.
LHV offers its clients free withdrawal of cash from its ATMs. A cash withdrawal charge of 0.3% of the amount is added to the sum that exceeds €3,000 per month. Cash deposits are free for LHV’s clients. For a reasonable fee, that is 1 €, LHV’s clients can withdraw cash from all other ATMs in Estonia.
Due to the winding up of its banking operations in Estonia, Danske Bank will exit the Danske-Luminor common ATM network. On 5 June, Danske Bank and LHV Pank entered into an agreement, under which LHV intends to acquire Danske’s private loan portfolio. Accordingly, joining the common network of ATMs is also a logical step for LHV Pank.
Over the summer we plan to update the appearance of ATMs in the common network, relocate some previous ATMs, and perform the necessary changes to settings.
