To encourage environmentally friendly decisions, LHV Pank is offering a home loan with an interest rate of 0% + Euribor for purchasing or building an energy class A home, from today until the end of May. The special interest rate on the Green Home Loan is valid for one year.
According to Catlin Vatsel, Head of Private Client Financing at LHV, LHV wants home buyers to be motivated to make the most environmentally friendly decisions even during more trying times. ‘While the Green Home Loan accounted for 15% of all home loans issued by LHV last year, then in the winds of change blowing on the real-estate market, the share of energy class A homes purchased this year has fallen to 9%,’ commented Catlin Vatsel.
‘Energy class A denotes the most environmentally friendly real estate, with the acquisition of which the person is making a long-term investment, i.e. a contribution to lower household expenses. We would like to encourage such a decision in every possible way, and that is why until the end of May we are offering the Green Home Loan with a 0% bank margin, which means that during the year the interest rate for the loan customer is only 6-month Euribor,’ added Vatsel.
The offer is valid for home loans applied for between 30.03 and 31.05.2023 for purchasing of building a new energy class A home, but not for refinancing purposes. The promotional interest rate will be valid for one year - after which it will be replaced by the standard Green Home Loan margin of 1.79% + 6 month Euribor.
‘The LHV Green Home Loan is the bank's home loan with the most favourable interest rate. As the main determinants of how much greenhouse gases we emit into the atmosphere are home heating and electricity consumption, we want to promote the construction and acquisition of the most energy-efficient homes possible,’ said Vatsel.
To take advantage of the offer, the client must complete an application on the homepage https://www.lhv.ee/en/home-loan. LHV Pank promises to present the initial loan offer within 24 hours. Additional information can be obtained from the loan manager after the application has been submitted.
