More than half a thousand euros were raised for charity with LHV Child Accounts

10. June 2020

Last week, LHV Youth Bank organised a charity campaign dedicated to Child Protection Day, during which 535 euros were raised to support the charity fund Minu Unistuste Päev (My Dream Day).

As part of the campaign that lasted through the first week of June, LHV donated 5 euros for each Child Account opened to support the charity fund Minu Unistuste Päev. In a week, the amount to be donated grew to 535 euros.

Liis Lepik, project manager of LHV Youth Bank, said that one does not always have to wait for Christmas to do good. ‘We are happy to be able to make a small contribution to fulfilling children’s dreams. We are touched by the charity fund’s mission to make the dreams of seriously or chronically ill children come true and bring more joy and spark into their lives. The desire to inspire young people and make them believe and dream that dreams really do come true, is something that we believe in as well,’ said Lepik.

The Child Account is intended for young people up to 17 years of age (incl.) and its opening and management is free of charge. The account can be conveniently opened both on the mobile app as well as the internet bank, and it is a great opportunity for a child to take their first steps towards independence. This leaves parents with the opportunity to have an overview of their child's financial affairs until he or she reaches the age of majority.
