LHV has commenced making free instant payments

31. january 2019

Customers of LHV can now make and receive real-time euro payments, i.e. instant payments.

Instant payments facilitate making payments for the customer of the bank. Payments of up to 15,000 euros between LHV and other banks that have joined the instant payment system now move in real time in a matter of seconds, and this also takes place in the evenings, on weekends and on public holidays. Instant payments made from LHV can be received in Estonia by SEB and Swedbank.

Customers of LHV do not have to do anything different to before to use instant payments. LHV offers instant payments free of charge, as with regular European payments.

You should know that by making a payment order in the LHV mobile bank or internet bank, payments are made as instant payments, whenever possible. Payments of up to 15,000 euros can be made as instant payments to banks that have joined the instant payment system. If a payment is successful, the customer is shown whether it was made as an instant payment or as a regular European payment. The customer will be notified of an unsuccessful instant payment by a notification in the mobile bank or by e-mail.

Customers of LHV have been able to receive instant payments to their account for over a month. As of today, 31 January, payments can also be made as instant payments.

Instant payments will be made available to persons making payments with the LHV Connect application programming interface in April.
